Four things make up almost every service call. Each one below has an official self-service path that works any hour, plus the quickest way to reach the office when you would rather talk to a person. Nothing here changes a policy by itself — changes and questions about coverage go through a licensed representative.

ID cards & proof

Get an ID card or proof of insurance

Auto ID cards and proof-of-insurance documents are available immediately in Allstate MyAccount and the Allstate app. If a lender, landlord, or the DMV needs a specific form, text the office with what they asked for and the deadline.

Billing & payments

Make a payment or check a bill

Payments, due dates, autopay, and billing history live in MyAccount. If a payment did not post or a bill looks different from last term, call the office with the policy number and the notice in front of you.

Policy changes

Add a vehicle or driver, update an address, or change coverage

Changes are made by a licensed representative, not through this website. Have the declarations page, the new vehicle or driver details, or the new address ready; the Houston Insurance Call Sheet helps organize the documents and questions before you call, in either language.

Claims

Report a claim, or ask what happens next

Claims are started with the Allstate claims department online or by phone, 24 hours a day. The agency does not decide a claim, but it can explain the process, help you understand what the adjuster is asking for, and follow up. Have the policy number and your photos ready.

When to expect a person

Office hours, and what to do outside them.

The Houston office answers Monday to Thursday 9 AM – 6 PM and Friday 9 AM – 5 PM. Outside those hours, MyAccount handles documents and payments, the Allstate claims line takes claims 24/7, and a text to the office is answered the next business day.

The Conroe customer-service location handles renewals, ID cards, certificates, and proof of insurance in person by appointment. It is a service location, not a separate agency office. Conroe customer-service location →

Common questions

Service questions that come up most.

Can the office send me an ID card by text?

The quickest source is Allstate MyAccount or the app, where the current ID card downloads immediately. During office hours the office can also send proof documents; text the request and the office confirms the fastest option.

Who do I contact after hours or on a weekend?

For a claim, the Allstate claims line is open 24 hours a day. For documents or payments, MyAccount works any time. For anything else, text the office and it is picked up the next business day.

Does the agency decide whether my claim is paid?

No. The insurance company's claims department applies the policy's terms and decides the claim. The agency can explain the process, help you understand the adjuster's questions, and follow up on your behalf.

Can I change my coverage by sending a text?

No. Changes to a policy are made by a licensed representative and confirmed by the company. A text is a good way to start the request and send a document, but coverage is not bound, changed, or cancelled by text, voicemail, or this website.
